Today’s Reading: Matthew 5, Luke 5, John 5

Takeaways:

  • The Sermon on the Mount is always a great way for me to check my heart, my attitude, and my motives.
  • We are the light of the world.  That is becoming more and more evident as we see our culture shifting further and further away from Christ.
  • We are to be perfect as our Father is perfect.  No pressure!  Good thing we don’t have to go it alone!
  • When we are faithful to God, His provision is always overwhelming.
  • Jesus is noted for slipping away to spend time with His Father.
  • Our situation is never too hopeless for God to intervene.
