Great second week at Barber Middle School! Very excited about how God is using this Dominate series to reach people for their good and His glory so that those who are far from God can experience new life in Christ!
Just a few notes from the message today before I call it a night. The text today was Acts 3:11-20, 26.
-“We shouldn’t be astonished by the miraculous work of God, but we also shouldn’t take it for granted.”
-“Why are we surprised at what God can do?”
-“God’s power is on display in your life and can be on display through your life.”
-“How often to we attribute the blessing of God to something we have done or are currently doing?”
-“God accomplishes the extraordinary through ordinary circumstances and obedient behavior.”
-“What opportunities are we missing out on because the packaging is different than we thought?”
-“You can’t erase the mistakes of the past.”
-“Everything we have seen so far is just a warmup for what God is wanting to do through Freedom Church to reach those who are far from God in Acworth, Georgia.”
-“Extraordinary things occur through the most ordinary circumstances and the most ordinary people.”
And..probably my favorite of the day…
-“Let’s stand for the offering, that should make it easier to reach into your pockets!”
January 25 is the One Year Anniversary of Freedom Church. J.R. announced today that our goal for that Sunday is 500 people! That will be the most we have ever had. I am believing God to do some extraorinary things that day…will you be there to witness it?!
Special thanks to Shannon, Jessica, and Katie for taking such great care of Emma. Today was her first day in the nursery and she loved it! She was trying to tell us how much fun she had, but alas, at 8 weeks old she doesn’t really have many recognizable words!
