Savor: Living Abundantly Where You Are, As You Are by Shauna Niequist is an excellent devotional resource to have on hand.  Savor is divided up by days…it’s dated and that works so well with my OCD-ness!  There are also different recipes inserted because all good girl talks need good food!  Savor is good for the heart and soul.  I don’t use this devotional everyday, but rather as a supplement to other things that I am studying and it really fits the bill.  Even though my personality prefers that I only read that day’s devotion on that day…I often find myself reading several pages before putting it down. I’d encourage Savor as a great gift for a girlfriend in need of encouragement.  Just the cover of the book alone looks good with a basket, a candle, and a good cup of coffee!  Get up early this Saturday morning, grab your Bible, and Savor the goodness of God by living abundantly where you are, as you are.
