WHO IS YOUR BARNABAS? | I love this passage in Acts 9 for a lot of reasons. It’s easy to think about Saul/Paul and say “how awful the choices he made, but what a great God to change him.” That’s my story too! The Lord radically saved Saul and changed his ways and today we study Scripture that was largely written by Paul. What if Barnabas hadn’t stepped up? What if Barnabas wasn’t willing to risk his own reputation to say “this one’s with me?” It sounds exactly like what Jesus will do when I stand before the Lord one day.
Powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and provision as well as a chance to look around and see…who needs me to step forward on their behalf? Who has the Lord called that I could encourage? Looking outside myself is the best way to spot those opportunities.
God is faithful. He is working.

BROOKE MOORE | We had such a blast tonight cheering on @brookie.moore and her @libertywbb teammates on the road at Jacksonville State University. Brooke has always been such a blessing to be around. She is always described as someone who “just brings a smile to your face.” And she truly does! So we had a blast surprising her and giving her a fun reason to smile. Her teammates and coaches are taking great care of her and Brooke is being an awesome teammate…just as you’d expect.
My Emma has looked up to Brooke for so many years and we were so grateful that the @nccseagles basketball team was able to go and catch up with Brooke and celebrate her playing at the next level!

CHEF ELI | Our little guy has been having a great time in the kitchen lately. He keeps asking if he can cook for us. Yes!! He’s cooked a good bit here and there over the last few weeks…mostly for his own second (or third) dinner. Today he made pancakes and eggs for everyone before church and then chicken nuggets and Mac&Cheese (a generational family recipe) before we headed back to the volleyball tournament. Love this little guy and his heart for trying new things. Bob Appetit! #7000days

LITTLE BIG SOUTH | So proud of this girl and her @575volleyballlakepoint teammates for a great showing in the Little Big South tournament this weekend. The girls are growing and really starting to work well together as teammates. Loved the way this team battled back and won the bronze bracket. I think we are in for a fun season!
Right when they won, we got word that school is cancelled tomorrow for a snow day. Win win!

PRAYER PARTNERS | So much fun visiting with our @NCCSEagles Lower School Prayer partners today. These students are specifically praying for our Upper School team headed to serve in Cuba. PARTNERSHIP | Standing room only for our @NCCSEagles Upper School Parent Meeting tonight looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year. It is such a joy to link arms with families to watch their kids becoming the person that God created them to be. I’m so thankful for our school and so grateful for God’s grace through it all.

WHATEVER IT TAKES | Our whole family has completely fallen in love with the mission of @nsckennesaw to Help People Find Their Way Home by Loving God, Loving People, and Living Sent.
We love being a part of a church where our kids are encouraged to lead and serve. Yesterday was a blast hosting with Emma and Eli as our church studied Mark 2 and kicked off the Whatever It Takes campaign. #WeLoveOurChurch #7000days

K2 WILDERNESS AT THE SMOKIES | Another great weekend of volleyball for our girl and her @575volleyballlakepoint teammates. They worked hard yesterday to go 3-0 and started today in the gold bracket.
After a tough first match, they finished up 4-1 and showed a lot of improvement from the first tournament a few weeks ago in Atlanta. Grateful Eli had a rare Saturday off from basketball so the Strange 4 could enjoy a little getaway. Eli was a good sport…even waving the pom poms handed out to the parents!
Enjoyed returning to El Machete in Sevierville for an awesome lunch. Found that place last year and will definitely be back!

WINTERFEST + CAREER DAY | Two Coach Stranges and Emma and a sweet friend are nurses who will take great care of us in our old age 😂
